Making Stone Age bread!

We have a had a lovely afternoon in Year 3! We have learnt how to make Stone Age bread!

We needed:

a mixing bowl
weighing scales
baking tray
wooden spoon

100g of wholemeal bread flour
75ml of warm water.
While we were waiting for our turn to bake we created our own posters to try and sell our Stone Age bread!

We were very proud of our posters!

We even got to try the bread. It tasted very different to the bread we have today!

Some of us liked the bread. We thought it was 'tasty' and 'delicious!'

Some of us weren't too sure about our bread. Some of us described it as 'rough' 'tasteless' and chewy!'

Instructions!

Last week Year 3 were learning how to add prepositions to instructions.
We taught Miss Brack how to make a jam sandwich using prepositions.

This made our instructions much clearer and easier to follow!

We then worked as a team to cut and stick a set of instructions in the correct order so they made sense!
We were even able to up-level our instructions by using time conjunctions, adverbs and prepositions!

Stone Age Art!

As part of our theme for this term, Year 3 have been researching Stone Age art!

We have learnt about the different materials that were used for Stone Age art.
We also collected our own sticks and stones to help us paint.

As part of our research we found out that each cave painting told a story and tried to apply this to our own artwork.
We used red paint, sand, and painted with sticks, stones and our fingers just like real cavemen!
